Shimano Tiagra 10-Speed Groupset

Comes with the Shimano Tiagra 10-speed derailleur for precise and long lasting shifting performance. It also offers a great balance between ride performance, easy operation and low maintenance.

The 52T 7075 CNC narrow-wide chainring comes without the use of double chain guards. This reduces the bike’s weight significantly.

The Birdy P40 comes with the Shimano Tiagra 10-speed derailleur, offering precise and long lasting shifting performance.

The Birdy P40 uses a High Performance Architectural Grade Powder Coating that is made in Italy.

There are no available test models of the P40 at our store. We have two frame samples at our Experience Store for you to view and touch.

Q. Is there a serial number allocated for each piece of the Birdy P40?

No, there are no serial numbers for the limited edition P40. However, there will only be 1000 units of the limited edition P40.

Q. Are the Stucco White and Granite Black colour frames produced in equal quantities?

We do not have information about the exact quantity of each colour, however, we can confirm that there are only 1000 pieces of the P40 in production.

Q. Does the Birdy P40 fold and unfold like the current Birdy models?

Yes, the P40 can be folded and unfolded the same way as other Birdy models.

Q. If I have already pre-ordered another Birdy model, can I change my existing order to the new Birdy P40?

You can email us the details of your previous order and indicate your order changes.

If we check that your bike has not been built yet, we will then be able to make the necessary order changes. We will also inform you of the additional amount to top-up.

A hydroformed bicycle is technically very challenging to design and build. As a result, Pacific Cycles wanted to commemorate their 40 years of creative bike design and engineering by building a fully hydroformed Birdy bicycle to show its engineering prowess and expertise.

Q. Why is the Birdy P40 priced at such a steep price point?

To embark on the building of a fully hydroformed bicycle frame is very costly.

It requires the usage of precise and technical hydroform equipment, a lot of patience and accurate technical calculations.

Therefore, when you buy a Limited Edition P40, you are in fact paying for the limited quantity frames (1000 pieces), a very strong, sturdy and stiff hydroformed frame which forms the core of the P40.

The other key feature is the corrosion-resistant frame that is coated with an Italian-made High-Performance Architectural Grade Powder Coating.

Q. Can I order the Birdy P40 only when the actual bike arrives at your store?

Yes, you can consider placing your preorder when the P40 arrives, subjected to stock availability. We cannot have a demo P40 bike for test rides because all P40 limited edition bikes will be sold.
